Living in California, one cannot help but be healthy.  In college many students are trapped into believing the myth of the freshman 15 and the idea that college students have to eat unhealthy in order to survive, but USC is breaking this old notion.  USC strives to build a healthy campus both physically and mentally for its students.  The school offers students numerous ways to live a healthy, active lifestyle while also balancing the everyday stress of college life.  There are numerous workout classes, including yoga, Zumba and even barre.  USC offers numerous trails called Tommy’s Trails for students to run or walk on.  The school also has a Farmer’s Market every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in McCarthy Quad.  Here students are able to purchase fresh affordable produce, which will allow them to be able to sustain a healthy lifestyle while on campus.

Be Well USC offers programs that help students with alcohol and drug awareness.  These programs include Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students, which is a program that allows students to learn more about alcohol and drug awareness.  The program also helps students who are concerned about their own personal alcohol and drug usage.  DEC- Drug Education Consultation is another program offered by Be Well USC that assists students who are concerned with the use of drugs other than alcohol.  Each of these programs offers a judgment-free environment where students are able to seek the help and advice they need.

Along with a student’s physical health, Be Well USC offers programs that will help students deal with their mental health, including peer support groups and counseling.  Beside the programs mentioned above, Be Well USC offers so many more resources that help students with the physical and mental grind of college, so go and sign up for a fitness task, shop at the Farmer’s Market, or walk or run one of the trails on campus.  Keep your body and mind healthy, and take advantage of all that Be Well USC has to offer.
