Barco, Chandler Named April 2025 MILB Pitchers of the Month

Two of the Pittsburgh Pirates top prospects were honored for the month of April 2025.

Hunter Barco was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the month for April. Barco was dominant in six starts for the Curve in April, allowing no runs in 26.1 innings enroute to the franchise record. He was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week last week as well.

Bubba Chandler was named the Pitcher of the Month for the International League. Chandler is 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in six starts for Indianapolis this year. He has struck out 36 batters in 25.1 innings pitched.

It’s impressive to see strong starts to the season for both Chandler and Barco. Plus, with Barco being called up it makes the Indianapolis rotation even stronger. Can’t wait to see what is in store as both continue to work to earn the call up to Pittsburgh.
