BANDOLERO – “Paris Latino” | Archive INA (1983)
Bandolero was a short-lived French funk/disco/pop group active from 1983 to 1989 . The core members were brothers Carlos and José Pérez—previously in the punk outfit Guilty Razors—and drummer Jill Merme‑Bourezak (also noted as Djill)
Champs Elysées, A2 : émission du 03 décembre 1983 Le groupe Bandolero interprète sur le plateau de Champs Elysées son tube “Paris Latino” entourés par trois danseuses.
A fun and energetic snapshot of early‑’80s European club culture, mixing lively rhythms and a trilingual vocal twist—”Paris Latino” remains Bandolero’s enduring legacy.
Their other singles—”Cocoloco,” “Conquistador,” “Bagatelle,” and “Rêves noirs”—never replicated the success of “Paris Latino”. The group disbanded in 1989, becoming a classic one‑hit wonder of the French disco-pop 80s scene.
