Backyard Football ’99 Remaster Announced

The next Backyard Sports franchise game to get a remaster has been announced. Backyard Football ’99 will be the next game added to the collection.

A trailer was released for the game that is set to arrive on September 9th, 2025. The game will be avalible on Steam, Apple and Google Play, but not console.

Professional players will be avalible in this version of the game.

It’s exciting to see another Backyard sports game remaster come out. I’m glad it’s football and coming right as football season is starting up. It gives players that might not want to play Maddern 26, or College Football 26 a chance to go after some gridiron glory.

Backyard Football was probably my second most played game behind Backyard Baseball, so I’m excited to get to play it again. I can’t wait for it to be released and play it so I can review it. Though I played the 2002 version, so I’m excited to give the original backyard football game a go.
