AVCA Top 25 (10/24/23)

The AVCA has released their Week 8 Top 25 Poll and like my rankings (which you can find here) there were some changes.

Juniata and Oshkosh stayed in the top two spots with Oshkosh picking up one adjusted vote but no more first place votes. Juniata is at 79 first place votes and 2,143 points while Oshkosh is at 7 first place votes and 2,069 points.

CMS jumped two spots into the Top 5 to mix things up a bit there as they sit between Hope and Northwestern (I’ll let you do this logic problem…from the information given, what is the order of the Top 5). The Top 10 stayed with the same teams but some juggling of spots was done throughout.

Springfield got the boot this week with Covenant coming into the rankings at 25 after their big win against Emory. We really didn’t have any big risers or fallers again this week as everyone stayed within 3 spots for the most part.

For Region X, we have CMS (4), Trinity (11) and La Verne (21) in the Top 25. In the receiving votes category, we just have Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Regional rankings will be out tomorrow and I’ll have my predictions out in a few minutes.
