August 2025 Costco Deals

Jul 30, 2025
6 min read

New coupon book! As I have done for the past several months, I identified several items (this time all food) that are not commonly highlighted, noted the savings and some information about the product at Costco, and provided some thoughts. These savings are available from July 30-August 24. Enjoy!

1. Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds ($3 off)

A breakfast item on discount this month is this cereal, sold in boxes containing two 25-ounce bags).

I wrote about cereal being an item that I tend not to buy at Costco because it is often on sale at grocery stores and because of the far greater variety available at stores (Costco vs. Supermarkets). The exception is the granola, which is a Costco exclusive (Product Review: Kirkland Ancient Grains granola). However, as an upcoming post will mention, several cereals at Costco are actually some of the best deals at the store. I have not eaten it in decades, but I used to love the original version of this cereal (when I ate it, the almond version either did not exist or had just been introduced). I remember that we only bought it on sale because the boxes were small and expensive. It was a treat and I ate a lot of it. I do like soggy cereal so it did not bother me that it got soft so quickly. However, when I did want a little crunch, I would pour small servings at a time and eat about 10 “mini-bowls.”

2. Catalina Crunch Keto Friendly Cinnamon Toast Cereal ($3.90 off)

Another cereal on sale this month is this healthier spin on Cinnamon Toast Crunch, sold in 24-ounce bags.

I did not know that Costco sells this brand. I have seen it in grocery stores and was surprised by how expensive it is for such a small package. I have never tried it. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is another cereal that I have not eaten in decades but that I used to love. It was so tasty and left delicious milk behind. I am not too interested in buying the cereal but for those craving a healthier version of a classic, now is a good time.

3. Bobo’s PB&Js Oat Sandwich Bar, Variety Pack ($5 off)

Members looking for an even easier PB&J can buy these variety packs (strawberry; grape) of 20 2.1-ounce sandwiches.

I don’t understand the appeal of premade PB&Js. They are so easy to make and I like to be able to control the amount of ingredients that I use. In addition, I only like raspberry jelly. However, I know that other brands of these sandwiches are quite popular so, clearly, there is a market for them.

4. Simple Mills Seed & Nut Flour Honey Cinnamon Sweet Thins ($2.80 off)

These crackers are promoted as containing healthy ingredients. Bags are 14 ounces.

I have seen this brand in grocery stores but have never tried it. I tend to skip sweet crackers. If I want crackers, I prefer plain/wheat so that I can use them as a base for dips. If I want sweet, I go with cookies.

5. Snak Yard Organic Sweet Potato Sticks ($2.80 off)

These chips are notable for only containing one ingredient. They are sold in packages containing six 2.82-ounce resealable bags.

I have never tried sweet potato sticks but these sound good. I generally prefer sweet potatoes over regular ones. I am not a crunchy snack eater but if I were, I’d be interested in these.

6. Nutella & GO! Hazelnut and Cocoa Spread With Breadsticks ($5 off)

These snack duos are sold in a 16-pack of 1.8-ounce containers. Each of the containers consist of a section with the hazelnut spread and a section with breadsticks for dipping into the spread.

When I was growing up, the “dip snack” was Handi Snacks. They came with cheese and crackers and a little plastic rectangle for spreading the cheese. Clearly, the Nutella version is an upgrade. I have never had Nutella and am not interested, especially on bread sticks. However, it is a very good idea for an appealing, convenient snack for kids.

7. Tate’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chip Cookies ($3.50 off)

These crispy cookies are sold in 21-ounce boxes. Each box contains six individual bags of seven cookies.

I tried these cookies when they were in the coupon book last year and like them quite a bit (Product Review: Tate’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chip Cookies). They taste very good, with a good combination of butter and chocolate. In addition, the packaging keeps them fresher longer. I ate a lot of them over the last year and am little tired of them so I am not interested in more right now. However, I do recommend them for their high quality. They also pair nicely with chocolate milk (Product Review: Fairlife Nutrition Plan Chocolate Milk). I would like Costco to sell the Snickerdoodle variety as I prefer them to the chocolate chip.

8. Meiji Hello Panda Chocolate Creme Filled Cookies ($3 off)

Apparently, these cookies consist of a crispy biscuit-like shell filled with chocolate cream. Boxes contain 32 0.75 individual packages.

I have never tried these before. Not my snack of choice but I think they would be appealing for kids.

9. Kinder Bueno Bars ($5 off)

Another treat on sale this month are these candy bars, sold in boxes of 20 1.5-ounce (two bars) packages. The candies consist of milk chocolate and hazelnut. Members report liking the consistency, which is both creamy and crispy.

This candy bar is definitely not for me, as I prefer dark chocolate, do not love hazelnut, and generally opt for complelty smooth chocolate. However, I know many have very different tastes.

10. Jongga Sliced Napa Cabbage Kimchi ($2.50 off)

For those looking for a flavorful side dish this month, Costco discounted the kimchi. Made in South Korea, this cabbage dish is sold in 52.9-ounce containers.

I have never tried kimchi but am tempted to. A common topping at family cookouts for hotdogs was sauerkraut. Although I didn’t eat much of it, I did like the flavor and crunch. Similarly, a common side at delis is health salad,” a side largely composed of cabbage. I don’t eat hotdogs anymore but I could see eating kimchi on the side of fish meals. May be worth a try.

11. Royal Asia Vegetable Spring Rolls with Soy Ginger Sauce ($3 off)

A frozen appetizer on sale this month are these spring rolls. They are sold in boxes of 50 and can be cooked in the oven or air fryer.

I was never as much of a fan of egg or spring rolls as most people because I prefer softer food (I liked the dumplings more). However, I know that many people love spring rolls and would like having a quick way to prepare an appetizer.

12. Sunny D, Tangy Original ($5 off)

Costco includes several beverages in each coupon book. One option this month is Sunny D, sold in packages of 30 11.3-ounce bottles.

I have no interest in this drink but I had to include it on this list, largely due to my surprise that it still exists. I remember people drinking it when I was growing up and had assumed it was one of those items that had disappeared…I guess not. I looked up the ingredients and saw how little actual juice is in the product. I much prefer pure juice, both for nutrition and taste.

13. Starbucks Frappuccino, Mocha Chilled Coffee ($4.40 off)

A very different beverage on sale are these bottles of iced coffee. Packages contain 15 9.5-ounce bottles.

Similar to Sunny D, I had not seen this drink in a long time. Growing up, they were considered very “fancy.” I never drank coffee and still don’t but I always thought (and still do think) that they looked very good.

14. Brew Dr. Organic Raw Kombucha, Variety Pack ($4 off)

Yet another beverage on sale this month is this kombucha. The packages contain six 14-ounce bottles of tea in three flavors (Clear Mind; Island Mango; Super Berry).

i have obviously seen kombucha but I have never tried it, as tea is never my “go-to” beverage. However, I do occasionally like flavored iced tea and these flavors sound good.

15. Red Bull Energy Drink (Regular or Sugar Free; $8 off)

The final drink offered in this month’s coupon book is Red Bull. Members have the option of buying the regular version or the sugar-free version. Packages contain 24 8.4-ounce cans.

I have never had a Red Bull. I tend to associate them with people who want/need caffeine but do not drink coffee. I don’t drink coffee but tend not to need caffeine to wake up. (Maybe because I never got used to drinking it). They strike me as though they would be too sweet, potentially leading to a crash after the caffeine fix wore out.

Will you be buying any of these items featured in the coupon book this month? Any others that look good?
