ASC RAC Member Mallory Matthews

And then there were none. Our last RAC Member has been found. ETBU Head Coach Mallory Matthews will be the ASC representative and serve a 3-year term. I wrote a bit on the RAC and its importance earlier today so check that out if interested.

I don’t have a lot of good things to say about Mallory. She was responsible for a crushing defeat of my daughter’s team when they both played and her mother stood me up at a wedding claiming “she was sick”. Still, I guess, it’s a good selection and one that, in the linked article, I guessed would be the pick. The worst part of this is that now Mallory is my newest best friend. (All RAC Members become my best friend because they have to spill the RAC tea to their best friend. Right?) Mallory has been an assistant or head coach since 2017 but this will be her first time on the RAC. Lots of new blood on the committee to go with a grizzled old tired cranky (did I say old?) veteran in Ed Garza. (Unnecessary shot at Ed but well worth it.)

In all seriousness, because the RAC is serious stuff, I like the make up of the committee. I hope the region can give them teams worthy of being ranked and we can get as many at-large teams as possible into the NCAA Tournament. Congratulations BFF Mallory Matthews!
