Artificial Intelligence (AI) easily understood

Here’s a link to an excellent TED talk about an AI solution in use and it’s potential capabilities.  AI TED Talk

My point is that AI, Machine Learning (ML), 5G, and predictive analytics (algorithms that predict future events based on understanding trends in massive amounts of data) is fundamentally changing our lives.

“Wait a moment,” you say.  “I’ve heard that before and it means nothing to me.”  Here’s a great video to see it in action.  Your understanding of potential uses will increase after this excellent 9-minute TED talk by Arnav Kapur.

Highlights:

• AlterEgo is a conversation AI

• You wear a device which is a flesh colored sticker on your neck. It doesn’t record your thoughts but it understands what you want to intentionally try to communicate.

• You think what you want to say.  The software, determines what you are saying, and records it in an interface.

• You can see on a screen what you want to communicate.  You can perfectly memorize things as you record, you can internally search for information, crunch numbers at the speed of a computer, silently text others, become multi-lingual by internally speaking in one language and hearing the translation in your head in another.

• Many people with ALS, strokes, and cancer have trouble speaking. This solution can enable them to speak.
