Are the Pretty Excellent Watercolors Still Good?

Hi friends! Whenever anyone asks for a recommendation for inexpensive watercolors that are of good quality I always suggest the Meilaing Pretty Excellent paints. The colors are vibrant, transparent, and most importantly perform like professional paint. It’s been 5 years since I first reviewed this paint (you can see that review here) and I wondered if the paint is still good. I ordered a new set so we could compare them today!

I was so happy to discover that the paint is still just as good as before! I will use the Pretty Excellent/Meilang paint in my upcoming 30 Days to Better Watercolor class I am working on so people can paint daily without worrying about using up expensive supplies.
