Another Movie About Jesus? Looks Interesting!

The Thursday feature of the Worldly Saints blog will be sharing of a media clip (audio or video) that has either educated, equipped, provoked or entertained us in some way.

In January of next year (2016), a movie starring Joseph Fiennes (who portrayed Luther in the movie about his life), will be released called Risen. The movie tells the story of the manhunt for the body of Jesus Christ, after is turned up missing.

Fiennes plays the role of Clavius, who is a Roman military tribune that has been charged to find Jesus’ body.

I am “keeping my fingers” crossed that this portrayal will not go the cheesy route of other movies about Jesus or the un-biblical route of movies like Noah.
