Annenberg Research Centers
A lot of things happen on this campus socially, professionally and academically. Since the role of the university has expanded to encompass so much more beyond pure academia, it is often easy for us to forget that USC is, at its core, a private research university. And it is in that spirit that USC Annenberg continues to house several prominent research centers and programs including the Norman Lear Center, the Center on Public Diplomacy, the Center on Communication Leadership and Policy, and quite a few others. Each of these is operated by USC Annenberg faculty and students, and performs directed research in a given field with a specific goal in mind. For example, the Norman Lear Center researches the social, political, economic and cultural impact of entertainment on today’s world and the Center for the Digital Future studies the impact of globally evolving digital technologies on users and non-users around the world. To learn more about these centers, to find out how to get involved, or just to read some leading-edge academic research on communication and media, you can find a full directory of the centers and programs operated through the Annenberg website, complete with links to their respective websites and a brief synopsis of their missions.
