An easy upcycle!

Hi friends! My daughter Lila found a cute sewing-themed lamp at a thrift shop and gave it to me. The lampshade was faded so I decided to renew it. See how in today’s video!

Supplies (Affiliate links used)

  • Lamp with smooth lampshade Pattern tissue, rice paper or tissue paper (gel printed deli paper would work too!)

  • Glue: I used Minwax Polycrylic but you can use mod-podge or white glue. I like Polycrylic because it dried very hard and is washable (Also most hardware stores will have this so if you live in a cold climate it is better to buy from a store rather than have it shipped as it can freeze and get ruined, same for acrylic paint and glue.)

  • Hot Glue gun (Xyron)

  • Buttons 2″ flat brush for glue

Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity and time to make something old new again! Happy crafting!
