The Griffons of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in women’s lacrosse (GLVC), play in NCAA’s Division II, with a schedule that sees them play some of the best programs in the country.
“I chose Missouri Western because I really liked the environment it had. The coaches and team have an amazing energy and it’s something I can’t wait to be a part of.”
Leeman has won four letters during her varsity career and became an All-WPIAL Honorable Mention performer during her junior season. She’s also gone on to become a captain for her squad. Unfortunately, injury put a damper on the end to her high school career, but it hasn’t crushed her spirit or faith that there are still many more memories to be made on the field during the next four years.

Her favorite memories to date have been the many friendships she’s made and bus rides she’s had from playing at Moon and for True Lacrosse, a program that’s helped to produce a great deal of talent that’s playing collegiately throughout the nation.
“They’ve helped me in many ways,” said Leeman about True. “I want to thank Coach Kevin, Coach Kayla, and Coach Peter for seeing the potential in me and helping me advance the skills I have today. True Lax also has given me some of my closest friends, so I’m forever grateful to them for that as well.”
Leeman is hopeful to become a nurse one day who works in the NICU.
Best of luck as you continue preparing for college lacrosse, AJ! Thank you for the opportunity to highlight your commitment, accomplishments, and future plans 🥍 👩🏾⚕️
