ADAM COHEN – What Other Guy (2011)

Like father, like son. Adam Cohen is a Canadian musician, singer-songwriter, and producer, best known as the son of legendary musician and poet Leonard Cohen. Born on September 18, 1972, Adam followed in his father’s footsteps, building a career in music. He initially avoided comparisons to his father, even releasing some of his early music anonymously, but he later embraced his legacy and acknowledged Leonard Cohen’s influence on his work. Adam Cohen has released several solo albums, including:

1. Adam Cohen (1998) – His debut album, which leaned more toward pop-rock.

2. Melancolista (2004) – Released in French, reflecting his bilingual heritage.

3. Like a Man (2011) – Marked a shift to a more intimate, acoustic style, drawing comparisons to his father’s music.

4. We Go Home (2014) – Another personal album, recorded in his family homes in Montreal and Greece.

Adam also contributed to his father’s legacy in a big way. After Leonard Cohen’s passing in 2016, Adam completed and produced his father’s final album, Thanks for the Dance (2019), using unfinished recordings and lyrics left by Leonard.
