Actors I will miss (R.I.P. 2017)
Yes, this year we lost many famous movie actors, the most notable ones probably being Adam West, Mary Tyler Moore, and Don Rickles. Here are a fewer lesser known movie stars I will especially miss:

Alfie Curtis. You may not recognize this name, but he plays Cornelius Evazan on Star Wars.. Aaaaaand you might still not recognize his name. He was one in the bar scene who tells Luke Skywalker that his human housefly friend doesn’t like him, then adds “I don’t like you either!” And because of him, whenever I feel threatened by someone, I use that trusty phrase, “You just watch yourself… I have the death sentence on twelve systems.”
Robert Guillaume. I remember with fondness watching the sitcom on TV when I was young. Guillaume played the title character and I just loved him. You may have also heard of him as the voice of Rafiki in . “It doesn’t matt-ah. It’s in dee past!”
Jeanne Moreau.
She was one of the two title characters in (1962). It’s a black and white French movie… so, yeah I’ll just move along. She great though!
George “the Animal” Steele. He was a great heel a surprisingly good babyface in wrestling, but he also played Tor Johnson (Another wrestler from another time—and a dead ringer for Steele!) in the Oscar-nominated (1994).
Bobby Heenan. No, he wasn’t a movie actor, but after mentioning George Steele I just had to take a moment for the Brain. He was the greatest wrestling manager of all time, bar none. He was also hilarious. At SummerSlam ‘91 he said to Roddy Piper, “I heard a rumour that your mom and dad ran away from home.”
Jonathan Demme. He was a director and a freaking great one when you consider his work included (1993, one of my all-time favourites), and (1991)
which is the only horror film to win the Oscar for best picture and is one of only three movies that have the distinction of winning all of the “Big 5” awards (picture, actress, actor, director, screenplay).
John Hurt. I wouldn’t say John Hurt is a “lesser known,” though I want to recognize him because I’m such a fan of his performance in and his iconic scene in Not to mention that he was in three different Harry Potter films.
Wow, what a great segue, Troy!
Congratulations . This is your week.
Best Actress:
Milla Jovovich as Leeloo in . She is also a “lesser known,” but holy cow she’s in this movie! Especially her fighting scenes.
Best Actor: Denzel Washington in .
Best Quote: “She’s gone mental, Hermione has. I mean, not that she wasn’t always mental, but now it’s out in the open for everyone to see!” — Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley in .
