Congratulations Toy Story. This is your week.

And the Oscar goes to…

Best Actress:

Amy Poehler as Joy in Inside Out, another movie that got a lot of mentions in the voting this week.

Best Actor: John Ratzenburger as (too many characters to list) in 23 of the 24 Pixar nominees this week. He was barely in Soul, just a quick voice on the subway that is uncredited, and a very brief character in the background there is an animated version of him. Sadly though, Luca does not feature him at all.

Best Quote: “Silenzio Bruno!” — Jacob Tremblay as Luca in Luca. There are SO many great Pixar quotes, probably the most famous being “To infinity and beyond,” followed closely by “Just keep swimming,” from Toy Story and Finding Nemo respectively. But I thought this week I’d take one from the movie that inspired this week’s theme.

Here’s how I would rank the 23 Pixar films I have seen of the 24 they’ve released:

NA – Cars 3 (2013)

• Monsters University (2013)

• The Good Dinosaur (2015)

• Cars 2 (2011)

• Up (2009)

• Onward (2020)
