70 -Yard Field Goal Made in NFL Preseason Game
S. Samek
Usually, NFL preseason football games aren’t much to get excited about. Sure, its football, but it’s the backups, or people trying to make the team that probably won’t. However, during the preseason game on Saturday August 9, 2025, between the Jaguars and Steelers something cool did happen.
Cam Little of the Jaguars showed off his kicking power with a 70-yard field goal that connected to end the first half making it 14-9 Steelers.
This kick had the distance to break the prior NFL record of 66-yards by Justin Tucker of the Ravens back in 20021. However, because it wasn’t in a regular season game the record does not count. Still an impressive kick though.
Little also made three more field goals and an extra point in a losing effort 31-25 Steelers.
Could he make another 70-yarder during the regular season? Is the field goal distance record safe? Tune in during the season and find out.
