2nd regional rankings (updated post): 9 Central teams; Cornell, Eau Claire appear

Withholding comments for now, but it’s interesting that there are nine teams ranked in the Central, according to the second published regional rankings. UW-Stevens Point climbed. Coe fell. UW-Eau Claire and Cornell make appearances.

I will add to this later today the records against ranked opponents at the time of the rankings (Done). The NCAA didn’t include those numbers this week. I also wish the NCAA had saved the second rankings in a unique location instead of simply saving the second ones over the initial week’s rankings.

UPDATE: Below the official rankings are five top contenders from both regions that are unranked currently. In other words, the “Why is Wheaton ranked ahead of Millikin?”, and the “Why is Coe ahead of Wartburg?” portion of the program. Remember that Millikin beat Wheaton in five in their only meeting. I remember that Coe beat Wartburg in five in their only meeting, but a Central Region team with a .457 SOS and three results against ranked teams versus Wartburg’s schedule and results? Nonplussed.
