262 Markers?!? This is Mayhem.
Hi friends! Today I have a review of the Art Beek 262 set of alcohol markers. they have brush and chisel tips and work out to about 38 cents per marker. That is very inexpensive for a Copic alternative. Interested? You can see the review in the video below. I had some reports of this video freezing yesterday, mostly if watched on TV but hopefully, it will play fine here in my blog. Let me know if you have trouble watching, thanks!
Pros:
Price (and there is a $30 off coupon at the time of filming)
Good color variety
Colors blend well
Includes a carry bag with marker stands to keep the markers in order
Includes a black dual-end fine liner and white gel pen
Brush nibs are reversible so if one end gets frayed or damaged you can flip it around for a fresh tip
The caps post
Cons:
The caps don’t match the ink and with so many close colors swatches are necessary. I used sticker paper to make swatches to go on the marker.
You might have to readjust a nib here and there.
2 of the fluorescent markers are actually water-based.
You may receive doubles of some color. I printed out the swatch from the sales page so I could make sure I had each color.
Bottom line: The Art Beek set of 262 markers is a great deal for a large variety of alcohol markers. If you are willing to do the swatching and fix any issues that might have slipped by quality control you will be happy with the set and you really can’t beat the price.
