Auburn is the top seed for the tournament. The Tigers are country’s number one ranked team. They went 15-3 in the SEC and 27-4 overall. They are also defending champion of the SEC tournament as they beat Florida last year to win it. They receive a double bye into the quarterfinals.

Florida, Alabama and Tennessee also receive double byes for finishing in the top four in the conference. Florida may have lost the SEC title game last year, but they did beat Auburn in the regular season this year. Could the Gators and not the Tigers be the team to watch as tournament favorites?

Seeds five through eight all receive single byes into the second round. The remaining teams will play first round games as all 16 of the conferences teams are playing in the tournament.

The tournament starts on Wednesday March 12th, 2025, and runs until Sunday March 16th, 2025. Sunday’s championship game tip is scheduled for Noon CT. Which team will win the SEC title and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament?
