2025 Prospect League Conference Championship Games

S. Samek

With the division championships concluded the 2025 Prospect League Playoffs moves to the Conference Championship round. Which teams will advance to play in the league championship series? This round is also best of one game.

Eastern Conference

The Lafayette Aviators won the Northeast division championship with a 4-3 win over the Johnstown Mill Rats.

Rex baseball defeated the Normal CornBelters 5-1 to win the Central division. They will host the Eastern Conference championship as they had the better overall winning percentage.

Western Conference

In the South division the Cape Catfish defeated the O’Fallon Hoots 7-2 to advance to the conference championship.

In the Northwest division, it took 10 innings to crown a champion. The Clinton LumberKings advanced in walk off fashion 3-2 to make it to the conference finals over the Burlington Bees.

The Cape Catfish will host the conference championship.

My predictions for conference winners are. LumberKings over Catfish and Rex over Aviators. Be sure to tune in to the action to see who advances to the Prospect League Championship series.
