The PBA Tour has announced the winners of several awards for the 2025 season including the coveted player of the year award.

The first award was the Tony Reyes service award, and it went to Chris Via.

The second award was the Steve Nagy sportsmanship award, and it went to Deo Bernard. Bernard ran away with the award, earning 76.67% of the vote, while Brad Miller earned the remaining votes.

The third award was the Harry Golden Rookie of the Year award, and it was won by Ryan Barnes. Barnes set the record for rookie earnings this year and finished 11th in points. This earned him a spot in the PBA playoffs, which made him the first rookie to qualify for them. He received 82% of the votes to win.

The win is also historic as he joins his father Chris Barnes as a Rookie of the Year award winner. This makes the Barnes duo as the first father-son duo to win the award.

The final award was the Chris Schenkel Player of the Year award, and it was won by EJ Tackett. Tackett had season where he dominated statistically and was hands down the favorite to win the award. He won with 86. 5 percent of the vote.

The win is Tackett’s third consecutive win and fourth overall. He becomes the fifth bowler to win the award three consecutive times. It’s another chapter added to an already storied career. It’s super impressive to see Tackett sustain the dominance on the tour.

It was a great year on the PBA Tour, and all of the winners deserved their awards. Can’t wait for the tour to resume in 2026.
