The third series of the first slate of the 2025 MLW season is up this week. The World Series winning Eastern Eagles open their title defense campaign against the Great Lakes Gators.

It’s a battle of two former National League division rivals. Last season the Eagles took two of three games. The Gator’s did give the Eagle’s their first loss of the year with an extra inning walk off home run. Could they do it again this year?

My prediction for the series is Eagles win 2-1.
