The MLW regular season concludes with this weeks upload.

This week the Coastal Cobras take on the Eastern Eagles. This matchup does have playoff implications for both teams.

The Eagles are 6-6 heading into the series. What do they need to do to reach the playoffs?

1. A sweep gets them to 9-6. This would get them into the playoffs, but they cannot earn a bye. They would earn the third seed.

2. Taking two out of three games gets them into the playoff at 8-7.

3. Winning one game gets them in.

4. Getting swept in all three games would have them miss the playoffs.

The Cobras at 4-8 haven’t been eliminated yet from playoff contention. However, they do need some help to get a spot. Here’s what needs to happen to get them into the playoffs.

1. A sweep gets them to 7-8 and would get them into the playoffs.

2. Taking two out of three and a 6-9 record would have them miss the playoffs.

3. A single win isn’t enough for a playoff spot.

4. Getting swept ends the season short of the playoffs.

The results of this series also effect the playoff chances of the Western Wildcats and Metro Magic. The Wildcats need any result that isn’t Cobras winning 2-1 to get into the playoffs. The Magic need the Cobras to win 2-1 to reach the playoffs

My prediction for the series is Eagles 2-1.
