2025 MILB Clash of the Caps

Minor League Baseball is hosting the New Era Clash of the Caps in 2025. The clash is a fan-vote to see which team has the best cap in the entire minor leagues.

The first round of voting was the league round. Each of the affiliated leagues voted for the best cap in their respective league, with the exception of the International League, which had one from each of the two divisions chosen. This gave us the 12 teams that make up round two.

The final four teams, one from each level of the minors will then go head-to-head to become the clash of the caps champion.

Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Rocket City Trash Pandas, Hub City Spartanburgers and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers all reached the finals.

In a bit of a surprise, it was the Hub City Spartanburgers winning the overall championship.

In my book that’s the worst of the four finalists. I would have picked Rocket City to win in that final four. Honestly, I wouldn’t even have picked Hub City to get out of the South Atlantic League bracket. It’s maybe like the fifth best in my opinion even in that League.

It’s a fun contest though. Honestly there’s a lot of great MILB caps out there and it probably is a hard to decision to narrow it down to just one winner. Hub City should be happy they are the clash of the caps champion for 2025.
