2025 LTA North Split Three Week One

This weekend the LTA North division returns to action for the start of split three. It’s a bit of a different format for this split.

To start week one the eight teams are seeded from Split 2 performance. Then those placements determine this weeks matchups. The matches are best of three. For weeks two and three the losing teams will select their opponent in a format called pick and play. After those two weeks they will enter the elimination phase with the top four teams starting in the upper bracket and the bottom four teams starting in the lower bracket.

The teams with the best records will choose their round one and two opponents during this phase. Matches are best of five and include fearless draft for all of this phase. The top three teams then advance to the LTA regional championship for a chance at the split three championship and a spot at worlds 2025.

Now that we have the format out of the way, what does this week look like as far as matchups?

100 Thieves vs Team Liquid, Cloud9 vs Lyon, Dignitas vs Shopify Rebellion and FlyQuest vs Disguised are the matchups for this week. Now that we have the matchups let’s make some predictions.

100 Thieves vs Team Liquid I’m picking Liquid 2-1.

Cloud9 vs Lyon I’m picking Cloud9 2-0.

Dignitas vs Shopify Rebellion I’m picking Shopify 2-1.

FlyQuest vs Disguised I’m picking FlyQuest 2-0.
