2025 AVCA Week 4 poll: La Verne #1 for first time since 2002

La Verne is No. 1 in all the land in the AVCA Week 4 poll. Cool and all — the Leopards last topped the charts in August 2002 as the reigning national champion — but the crown has been heavy this year as Juniata and Wisconsin-Whitewater have already fallen from the top spot this season.

Following La Verne and East Texas Baptist in the top 10 are, in order, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Washington-St. Louis, Johns Hopkins, Illinois Wesleyan, Juniata, Emory, and Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Other Region VIII/IX teams in the Week 4 top 25: No. 21 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 24 Dubuque; No. 25T Carthage.

Region VIII/IX programs also receiving votes this week: Wisconsin-Platteville; Coe; St. Olaf; Transylvania; North Park; Edgewood; Northwestern.
