2025 Atlantic League Playoffs Division Championships

The Atlantic League is set to start their playoff series tonight. Both the North and South divisions will hold their championship series with the winners heading to the league championship series.

The North division championship matchup is the York Revolution and Lancaster Stormers. The two local rivals once again play for a spot in the Atlantic League championship series. York won last season 3-1 and has beaten Lancaster two of the last three times the two teams have met in the North division championship series.

York won the first half and is the defending Atlantic League champion. Lancaster won the second half championship for the fourth year in a row. Though the season series went to York as they clinched the Community Cup for the third year in a row.

My prediction for this series is 3-2 York over Lancaster.

The South division championship is between the High Point Rockers and Gastonia Ghost Peppers. The Rockers won the first half championship with the Ghost Peppers winning the second half. They have faced each other in the 2022 and 2023 South division championship series and split the two meetings. Gastonia won in 2023, and High Point won in 2022. High Point won the season series 17-10 though.

I’m predicting a 3-1 High Point series win over Gastonia.
