It’s time for the NCAA DI Women’s volleyball tournament. The bracket has been set and let’s take a look at the field.

Pitt is the number one overall seed for the tournament. They won an outright ACC title and went 29-1 with a 19-1 ACC mark. This marks their third ACC title in a row. The roster is strong with four first team all-ACC players, including ACC player of the Year Olivia Babcock.

Louisville is the second number one seed. They finished 25-5 with a 17-3 ACC mark. They are led by Anna Debeer the second overall pick in the Professional Volleyball Federation draft this year.

Penn State received the third number one seed. They finished with a record of 29-2 overall and 19-1 in conference. They defeated Nebraska to win the Big Ten championship. Three of their players were also drafted in the Professional Volleyball federation draft this year.

Nebraska got the fourth number one seed. They also finished the season with a 29-2 record and 19-1 in conference. They are led by the number one overall pick in the Professional Volleyball Federation draft Merritt Beason.

SMU, Creighton, Stanford and Wisconsin all received two seeds. SMU delivered Pitt their lone loss of the year. Wisconsin recently had a trio of players selected in the Professional Volleyball Federation draft. So, while the one seeds look great, the two seeds are pretty dangerous as well.

Who will win the championship? Tune in when the tournament starts on Thursday December 5th, 2024.
