Bilibili Gaming finished off the 2024 Summer Split Playoffs as champions. This earned them the LPL’s top seed to worlds.

Top Esports finished third in the Summer Playoffs, but finished as the number one team in championship points with 150 to earn the second seed from the LPL to worlds.

Now with two more teams needing to earn seeds we move on to the 2024 LPL regional finals. The champions and runners -up of the event will earn the three and four seeds from the LPL to worlds. Both seeds are directly into the Swiss stage.

Each match is best of five. Two rounds make up the event. In round one the first seed team takes on the second seed team. The winner of this match earns the third seed for worlds. The loser then drops to round two.

Another round one match sees the third and fourth seed teams play. The winner advances to round two while the loser is eliminated.

Then round two is another best of five series with the two remaining teams with the winner taking the fourth and final spot at worlds.

Weibo Gaming takes on LNG in the match up of higher seeds. Weibo finished second during the 2024 Summer Split Playoffs to get to 130 championship points. This allowed last year’s worlds runner up to get the top seed for the regional finals.

LNG finished in fourth during the 2024 Summer Split playoffs losing to Weibo Gaming 3-2 in the loser’s bracket round four match. Weibo also knocked LNG out of the 2024 Spring Split playoffs. Now LNG looks to earn a return trip to worlds at the expense of an LPL rival. LNG made it to the world’s quarterfinals in 2023.

Ninjas in Pyjamas plays JD Gaming in the second round one match. This is another rematch from the 2024 Spring Spilt playoffs which was won by JD Gaming.

JD is looking to return to worlds after reaching the semi-finals last year. Ninjas in Pyjamas would be making their worlds debut this season if they advance out of regional finals.

The first match takes place on Saturday August 31st, 2024, with the second round one match taking place on Sunday September1st, 2023. The round two match takes place on Monday September 2nd, 2024. Which two teams will earn the final spots to represent the LPL at worlds?
