[Live Video] [Results] Prelims [LIVE Results] USA- Gymnastics [Article] Suni Lee is at the Patriots game. Now I wanna know why? And will she be good luck because we’re winning with a little over 5 minutes left and Mac Jones already scored the one TD he’s able to accomplish a FREAKING game. Stay tuned. SUNI LEE IS A JINX. I take it back Suni. PATRIOTS WIN. The worst QB in football history finally scored a second TD and when needed. Thanks, Suni Lee 🙂
I won’t be around Sunday until it’s over. The US women start at 1:30 PM Eastern time. The competition starts at 11:30 AM that day. Brazil is sending most of their world team. That will be interesting to see who wins the team gold medal. This is the US, B team and the Brazil A team was 2 points behind the USA A team. (Counting a fall for the US) but we all know scoring changes from judge to judge to competition. Now the article says the AA and team final are different (AA Friday) but I could have sworn they usually do it all on day 1. Guess we will see (Plus 4 days later?)
The headline made me laugh. I didn’t bother reading the article. Fair judging. Yeah right. And Luisa Blanco (Alabama) is trying to win a spot in the Olympics competing for Columbia. And Skate America is this weekend. [Results]Melnikova [Article]
Pan Am

I thought it was tomorrow but apparently, it was today:) Kayla won, followed by Flavia, followed by Jordan. Luisa Blanco qualified for the AA spot at the Olympics. Jordan got a 12.700 on bars.
AA 1. Kayla Dicello 54.699 [VT] [Bars][Beam][Floor] [Floor] 2. FlaviaSaraiva 54.565 [VT] [Bars] [Beam] [Floor] 3. Jordan Chiles 53.999 [VT] [Bars][Beam][Floor] [Floor] 4. Jade Barbosa 5. Ava Stewert 6. Natalia Escelera 7. Aurelie Tran 8. Luisa Blanco
I saw the Americans and two routines by Flavia above. The US gymnasts seem to be interchangeable internationally. Which will make for an interesting Trials next year. Jordan would have been ahead but it doesn’t really mean much when she didn’t. That being said will USAG overscore her because if she hits she might be slightly better than (fill in blank) At the last Olympics the judges didn’t decipher Jordan’s cleaner form for much of anything when it came to judging execution. Then again last year’s Olympics was suspicious judging but I digress.
Prelims / Team.

The scoring here was weird. Chiles had one stiff-legged tumbling pass but looked pretty good and only got a 13.200. (OOB) I think she needs to understand that Elite judges are not giving her college team music the props she gets from NCAA judges. Time to fix her music. Kaliya is leading beam with completely cheated leaps, a 7.763 execution score. 5.5 start value. This was the biggest overscore of the meet. Dicello nearly landed on her knees with her dismount or she would have been ahead. Also, Jordan’s bars which are very clean got worse execution scores than Miller who has a lot of messy form and that is downright bad judging. Luisa Blanco (Bama gymnast) sits in 6th place and needs to be the top AA gymnast with teams not qualified for the Olympics to make the Olympics. (Two per Country makes her 4th) She needs to make the AA and finish first from non-Olympic team birth to make the Olympics. Katelyn Jong scored 13.633 with a 5.9 start value in the early rounds as an individual athlete because she won junior Pan Ams last year. She only competed bars.
