Retirement video for Daria Spiridinova

Qualifications

  1. Victoria Listunova 2. Urazova 3. Vorona ( VT–UB–Beam–Floor) 4-Melnikova (I figured out her name all on my own:)5. Lilia Akhaimova 6- Elena Gerasimova 13- Elena Eremina

Gymnastea has the videos up…… Looks like Russia has it’s team picked already…. Anastasia Ilyankova leads bars in a tie with Listunova so we have a specialist picked too… [Vault] lead by Melnikova [UB][Beam] lead by Elena Gerasimova and [Floor] lead by the AA leader…. Ilyankova’s beam

Other routines I found.. This Russian youtube has a bunch of videos. It’s all in Russian so good luck with that… 9th- Olga Astafyeva : [Vault] [Floor][Beam][Bars] (2 falls off beam) Minaeva on [UB] Floor: Varvara Zubova Ulyana Perebinosova [Beam] Ulyana Perebinosova [Beam] Irina Komova [Floor]

Qualifications: Watching now: .Not very impressed by Victoria Listunova. Her bent knee’s on every event but bars are distracting. She does remind me a small bit of Komova on floor (though way sloppier) and I don’t want to hear she’s young. Komova is pretty much the only Russian junior that ever seemed to improve her form into the senior ranks enough to make a difference. Good news for her the US juniors coming up seem to have the same issues…. Her best event to me here was bars. Her beam had a few bobbles but the beam judges should kill her on every skill if they judge her the way they judge everyone else these days…. Melnikova was harshly judged here compared to the other gymnasts but pausing in the middle of bars and falling off beam then falling apart after falling won’t bode well for her if she does it at the Olympics. THAT BEING SAID, IT’S MARCH. She isn’t supposed to peak. Same with Victoria…. Vladislava Urazova has the same bent knee’s and less difficulty as Victoria. They didn’t show her beam (she fell) Her bars are a bit messy and slow… I prefer her floor to Listunova. It was nice knowing you, Lilia Akhaimova, but if you can’t hit your Jade Carey like floor routine they won’t even bother with you as a specialist. Her beam looked pretty good (for her) Her bars were a complete mess and she fell on floor… I have to say I prefer, Yana Vorona to Listunova. There is a less choppy-ness / calm-ness to her gymnastics I just don’t see with Victoria especially on beam. (Though her difficulty isn’t up there which could be why) She’s very bouncy on floor (went OOB twice , once with both feet….. Elena Eremina finished 13th in prelims. I felt her beam was way underscored (even though the difficulty looked low) she had way less mistakes then people who scored in the 14’s….
