2021 AVCA Week 6 poll: Rubber stamp time

The top four teams in the AVCA Week 6 poll remained unchanged despite losses by the third- and fourth-ranked squads last weekend. We’ve reached poll cruise control mode because Week 6’s top 21 teams also remained intact from the previous poll albeit in a slightly different order.

Reigning national champion Johns Hopkins is still first in the AVCA poll. No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, No. 3 Trinity (Texas), No. 4 Hope and Wartburg round out the Week 6 top five.

Other Region VIII/IX teams in the Week 6 top 25: No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater; No. 12 Wisconsin-Eau Claire; No. 17 Northwestern; No. 18 Chicago; No. 21 Wisconsin-Stevens Point; No. 23 Bethel; No. 25 Gustavus Adolphus.

Region VIII/IX teams receiving votes this week: Washington-St. Louis; Carthage; Millikin; Concordia Wisconsin; Transylvania; Wisconsin-La Crosse; Aurora; Concordia (Minn.) [incorrect clicks, voters].

My Week 6 top 10 had No. 7 Wisconsin-Eau Claire and No. 10 Juniata instead of the AVCA’s No. 7 Colorado College and No. 8 Mary Hardin-Baylor.
