I started my day with Melnikova on vault. I missed Simone and Suni and Nina
Judges took lots off Lillia on bars for her form issues.
How do people watch a video and live blog at the same time? This is demn near impossible. Maybe I should put my cup of tea down 🙂

It’s also kind of impossible to watch without sound. I get bored and forget what I’m doing but the alternative is listening to , it, and her voice grates on my last nerve.
I’m sick of Moors ( Pink, Canada, really? ) You need to add some code whoring into this floor routine to get in medal contention. Plus I never realized how low her tumbling and bad her form is until I just watched it in slow motion.

I’ll probably never admit this again but Ellie black is growing on me. She is still here even though I have written her off for years. She isn’t like the rest of these , media driven, teens. Her videos on instagram aren’t as annoying as everyone else.

I still can’t tell the Chinese apart but one of them just messed up her bars. HEY CHOW, Shang Chunsong is consistent and a GREAT team leader 🙂 Without the fall, Suni would be only 4 tenths behind Simone.
Simone’s score is a little high, IMO. 14.733 (8.533) 6.2

Nina Derwael is not an all arounder and I’m sick of one event keeping people in AA competitions. I thought we ended that years ago???

Two bobbles for Simone. Not big ones but she shouldn’t get credit for that connection. Only the full in for a dismount and very close to the beam. That shouldn’t get the same score she got in qualifying but judges be judging so….

Chinese gymnast ( and yes I know I should know their damn names by now but even though I usually love china as a team I just am not a huge fan of any of them individually. That was, Li Shijia. A few bobbles then 4 or so steps back on the dismount. What a way to throw it all away.
Beautiful beam by Tang. She shuffled her feet after a leap but other wise, that was beautiful. Also missed one connection but… CANT WAIT, to see how the judges screw her here…
Labored bars by Moors but she stayed on.

Not a big fan of the Japanese leotards BUT AT LEAST THEY WERE THEIR FLAGS COLORS.
14.600 for Tang on beam. That sure took a log time. Well deserved. That routine was better than Simone’s beam routine.
WOW. Best beam routine of Melnikova’s career. SO PROUD OF HER. That was awesome. Even better than team finals routine.

Nina got a 13.500 in prelims on vault so I don’t think Suni can pass her. That’s a shame but you can’t fall on your best event. Melnikova needs to hit and she can pass her.

~~~~~~~~~~~ Trying to get my VPN fixed so I don’t have to sit through Nastia ( I don’t think I can handle Nastia anymore) I thought it was at 4 pm eastern time but it’s on apparently at 10 AM which might be too early for me. We will see.

HBO Europe made a video about Raducan trying to get her AA medal back.
In that video, Simona asks to stop the camera and Andreea calls, Simona “her colleague ” and the best part is the doctor trying to sell Andreea that he gave her the medicine ” by accident” which is bull shit. Romania knew the rules and tried to cheat because their gymnasts were sick. I’m sure a lot of gymnasts had colds but didn’t get relief. This would have made a great blog because I have so many opinions 🙂
