2018 AVCA Week 8 poll: No change in top 8

After a fairly chalk week of results from the uppermost programs, the top eight teams remained unchanged in the AVCA Division III Week 8 poll.

Top-ranked Calvin is still followed in order by Johnson & Wales (R.I.), Wiitenberg, Colorado College, Thomas More, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Juniata and Emory.

Central and Midwest region teams in the Week 8 top 25: No. 9 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 11 Chicago; No. 12 Washington-St. Louis; No. 13 Wisconsin-Eau Claire; No. 14 Illinois Wesleyan; No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Central and Midwest teams receiving votes this week: Aurora; Carthage; St. Thomas; Saint Benedict; Northwestern.

No. 24 Bowdoin (22-1) is the first new top 25 team in three weeks.

My Week 8 top 10 included Chicago, UW-Eau Claire, Washington-St. Louis and Illinois Wesleyan instead of Colorado College, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Gustavus and Trinity (Texas).
