2018 AVCA Week 3 poll: Chicago, UWEC enter top 25 (huzzah!)

Calvin and Colorado College are still the top two teams in the AVCA Week 3 poll. The Knights and Tigers are followed by No. 3 Wittenberg, No. 4 Johnson & Wales (R.I.) and No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Rounding out the top 10 are No. 6 Trinity (Texas), No. 7 Juniata, No. 8 Emory, No. 9 Pacific Lutheran and Washington-St. Louis. My top 10 had Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Chicago and Thomas More instead of Trinity, Emory and Pacific Lutheran.

Other Central and Midwest region teams in the Week 3 top 25: No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 17 UW-Eau Claire; No. 18 Illinois Wesleyan; No. 19 Chicago; No. 25 Northwestern.

Central and Midwest region teams receiving votes this week: Carthage; Wisconsin-Whitewater; Concordia Wisconsin; St. Thomas; Millikin; Augsburg; Wisconsin-La Crosse; St. Olaf.

Any progress is good progress, but I think UWEC, Chicago, CUW and Olaf should be garnering more support at this point.
