2018 AVCA Week 10 poll: Calvin nearly unanimous

Calvin is the clear favorite to win the national title as the Knights received 68 of 70 first place votes in the AVCA Week 10 poll.

Rounding out the top five teams heading into this week’s regionals are No. 2 Johnson & Wales (R.I.), No. 3 Wittenberg, No. 4 Colorado College and reigning Division III champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at No. 5.

Central and Midwest teams in the Week 10 top 25: No. 8 Gustavus Adolphus; No. 10 Chicago; No. 11 Illinois Wesleyan; No. 13 Washington-St. Louis; No. 14 Wisconsin-Eau Claire; No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Central and Midwest teams receiving votes this week: Saint Benedict; St. Thomas; Aurora; Carthage.

My Week 10 top 10 had Illinois Wesleyan and UW-Eau Claire instead of Colorado College and Gustavus.

The final NCAA regional rankings have not yet been published online despite the Pre-Championship Manual stating that they would be posted by 5 p.m. eastern Monday.
