Mary Lou is great with the kids. At least she engages them with questions.
Fabian on highbar- I am with you Tim, Fabian should have won the Olympics. Great form as usual. Step on landing but great routine.
Triple twist and double tuck both landed low for Carlotta. Surprised we have not heard a mention yet of her comments. If Simone was here we would have. Nice Memmel double turn. Sloppy ending.
New drinking game when Nastia says, What the judges are looking for…..
Nastia says she probably had 3 or 4 different versions of her bar routine. My favorite was the ones she did at Nationals and Trials.lol
Sophie on floor. Double tuck, very low, step forward. Double tuck. Down on her 2.5 twist. This wouldn’t hold up in College let alone elite.
Other Fabian on high bar. Decent form but not perfect (feet matter) Typical Highbar that everyone seems to do.
Stop talking Nastia. You sound so fake.
Vanessa on floor- Double double, stuck. Not a good angle to see if it was short. Second pass not connected. Double tuck, bobble step back. Double pike landed low but this is typical Vanessa routine. Nice job.
The Brit nailed his dismount on highbar.
Popa on floor: Nice double layout with a step, Nailed full in. Ended with a double pike, small step. Nice routine.
Oh no my freeze just froze.
BellaRussian hit his highbar routine til dismount. Lots of pirouetting to some Chellsie like moves.
Whose Brina Dowell? How does Brenna pronounce her name because I am pretty sure it is not BRINa
14.166 for Popa on floor.
Guilia on floor : Nice double layout, small step. Landed very low on second pass, leg up. Double tuck, nice but a small step after. Double pike, well done. 13.933
Sam high bar. Landed first release very close and was off on one other and he is swinging really slow but he is staying on. Landed very low, piked and a hop forward. Messy.
Ebee on floor: Double double, Nailed. Looked OOB. Can’t really tell. Beautiful double layout, small step but so high. She can’t dance but she looks like she is giving an effort here trying. Doub;e tuck looks out of place in this routine. Way too easy for her. Double pike nearly to knee’s but she’s got this. Not a perfect routine especially on the easy passes but she wins.
She was in such a far lead” Yep Nastia I love your English. Okay my grammar sucks but at least I can speak the language.
Bozo on highbar: He stayed on but his release moves were landed too close to bars. Flat feet throughout but at least he kept them mostly together.
14.500 fo Ebee. A bit high with the landing problems. Al says we have 1 gymnast left but he forgets Moors. I wonder if they will show her?
Brenna: Double front, piked. Nicely done but a step. Double layout OOB with both feet. Legs apart but the angle they showed for her was different for Ebee. Double front into leap. I missed her last pass.
Japanese guy is off the bar. Default win for Sam but give the guy credit he isn’t celebrating. Way to jinx this guy TIM DAGGETT!!!!!!!!
Moors on floor: Piked her double double layout and OOB. You could really see the pike from that angle. Nice triple twist but a bit leggy. She is walking through her dance. This is not her best floor. Leggy 2.5 twist and ends with a double tuck with a step almost OOB.
Ebee find this title important. Says we got to have it here in the US. You mean like every year Ebee.lol
Congrats to Ebee. You were the clear class of this competition.

Popa is posing for pictures with every gymnast she can find. Its funny to watch these pictures on the internet and see how after they look so happy the gymnasts walk away and look miserable like Moors just did. She always looks miserable at these meets when the camera isn’t around. Tonight is another example.

Rotations are messed up for live blogging. Brenna’s bars were still messy. Better angle shows it. She needs to fix this if she wants to get near a real international stage.

Price is not getting huge gifts from these judges. Just decent scores. Interesting to note.
Rotation 2 (Women UB)
Hands down for the Brit on vault. Very cowboyed double front. Like Nastia bad and there goes the feed. For good now:( Now we are stuck with Nastia and a Mary Lou interview you know is coming.lol
My feed is back. Maybe they will forget and leave it on:):) Bad feed is better than Nastia talking about herself.
Brenna nailed her bars and while her Tweddle was off it was ten million times better than anything we have ever seen from her. She swung to the side but the form was much better then the video.
Sam almost stuck his vault and he was over the line a tiny bit and while his knee;s look a little bent the rest of his form looked nice. I didn’t notice the toes.
They showed Guilia on the feed and she hit bars. Some leg issues and she was off on one move (I always call it a Khorkina not sure if it is)
14.733 for Brenna. Guilia got a 15.033 I think.
You remember that Nastia when ALY led the team to gold and you sat at home.lol A very important competition. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Moors stayed on bars and missed a few handstands with many leg separations but that was pretty good for her.
Vanessa form issues like everyone else and she was off on some handstands but good for her.
That was a gross ugly vault for Bozo. Bent knee’s bad form its a good thing the live scoring isn’t working for me because that vault was a messy disaster and should be scored accordingly.
Popa messed up vault on her Pak 9I think) she then fell. Messy routine to begin with.
Thank you Ebee. Kept her feet together most of the time but the NBC announcers just said Kim Kelly and Kristen Maloney were great gymnasts. That is a stretch guys. IT WASN’T CLOSE. Kyla had the 2 events the US needed.
14.700 for Jon on vault is a joke. Popa got her own gift on bars. A 12 anything would have been a 10 in real gym.
Good job for Brenna because staying on for her is all the battle. She sis a front tuck onto the beam and was messy form but neither of these girls are good at beam so staying on is huge for them.
It wasn’t harsh Nastia it was fair and her chest was down is code for your entire career.
Guilia hit beam. Only one bobble and she was past on her full turn but good job.
Moors hit beam but was messy. She missed a connection and has the worst bent knee’s on beam since Moceanu. Small step on her full in dismount and her chest was low.
Vanessa stayed on, bobble on full turn and messy overall. Double pike. Jump step after dismount.
So right Nastia. No need for classy beam routines with good form. Just stay on because that is why we compete.
Nastia just said, ” I think” and I thought, no you don’t.lol
Ebee nailed beam. Neary a bobble. Still some form issues but that was amazing for her. Not sure the world judges will love this routine but like Nastia said, she stayed on. (HA I just quoted Nastia)
14.566 for Ebee. What did Guilia score because the live scoring isn’t working.
Carlotta on beam. Bobble after sheep jump. She is the first gymnast on beam to actually stretch out her leaps. First gymnast to not have the bent knee’s through the whole routine. Then she falls.
Sophie went on beam and literally did nothing but a side somi. She ended with a College dismount. I will be interested to see her start value. It was such an empty routine.

15.700 for Ebbe. 15.600 for Brenna who they never bothered to show unless I day dreamed through that too?
I am up and having a little bit of issue with my computer but we will see how this works.
I saw Bozo’s pommels. Stayed on but no doubt the usual overscore for US gymnasts will be in play. Sam stayed on too and so did Fabian none of their routines were spectacular but pommels is boring so whatever.
We missed the girl from Spain on vault because we had to watch a replay of someone on rings.
Nice Amanar by Ebee. Small step but this girl can fly.
I love that Carlotta showed up for this meet IN America. Girl has some nerves of steel. Good thing most people are clueless about gymnastics unless it is an Olympic year.

Gotta love little girls. They will scream for anyone and you know they don’t have a clue who these girls are because they all screamed, lets go Elizabeth. When we all call her Ebee.

So we watch Brenna stand there while a gymnast vaults. Great feed play there usa-gymnastics. I am enjoying the NO commentators though. If they could do that all the time it would be great.

Live scoring ( Thank Biyatch) Doesn’t seem to be working for me.
Not sure I will be up but if I am I will live blog. Probably only the NBC coverage if I can handle listening to Nastia.
I came into the Nastia cup when it was Nastia, Valeri and John so I quickly got ill and shut off the sound. Put it back on to see Mary Lou’s daughter nearly have the cup fixed for her while she sat with Steve Penny. Got to hear Nastia say she knew ties like 3 times. Got to hear Mary Lou yell what at her daughters bar score (which was too high Mary Lou not too low) and the best part was listening to Nastia say, she didn’t like ties and since it is called the Nastia Liukin Cup she would change the rules. Oh and she interviewed the 1st and second place girls in the ugliest outfit I have ever seen. Enough of the hot pink. How hard is it to hire a stylist for this girl?
This year they had a senior and Junior competition? I thought the whole idea of this was for it to be for juniors?
