17th c. English Drinks, Politics, and a little Q&A
While digging around the Internet for information on an elusive primary source author, I stumbled across a highly entertaining post on drinking in seventeenth-century England. This offers a good overview of the politics underlying certain drinks in the midst of the English Civil War/Revolution, as well as a look into the ways folks at that time understood the effects of alcohol on the body. Enjoy!
