14 Reasons You Need to Be In Church This Weekend…And Regularly
It is commanded (Hebrews 10:24-25).
You cannot “one another” when you are at home by yourself.
Your presence is an encouragement to others around you.
God puts a priority on corporate worship (Ephesians 5:19).
Christianity is about making commitments and sticking with them.
Taking the Lord’s Supper is also commanded (I Cor 11:26).
Going to church is likely to take the focus off you and put it on God and others (Philippians 2:3-4).
Your spiritual gifts could atrophy if you don’t use them, and to not use them is disobedience (I Peter 4:10).
You teach your children or grandchildren or others why they should or shouldn’t the value of the body of Christ by setting an example.
Committing yourself to attend church is evidence that you are committed to discipleship.
It’s a tangible expression of being in the world but not of it (I John 2:15-17).
You need to be shepherded by others (Hebrews 13:7).
Your most intimate family you have is gathered there.
There is nothing better going on!
